One thing that BITSian alumni love (and are most famous for) is the energy that they bring during their Reunions.
Weekends in February and March are jam-packed with activities catering to alumni (and their families) that visit their alma mater to reconnect with old friends, relive the good ol’ days and discover new changes to the campus that came about after they graduated.
We, at SARC, facilitate the seamless execution of the Silver, Ruby and Golden Jubilee Reunions every year, managing the on-ground logistics while getting front-row tickets to all the events organized for the alumni.
Industry stalwarts like Baba Kalyani (Managing Director of Bharat Forge) and Hari Menon (Co-Founder and CEO of BigBasket) have conducted talks and start-up conclaves in the past while visiting the campus during Alumni Reunions.
Notable alumni also conduct QnA sessions and talks at the NAB Audi, reminiscing their time on campus and giving valuable insights into their journey thus far. These events attract great footfall and you are lucky enough if you manage to get a seat!
<aside> ✨ Yash Thakker, our SARC Coordinator (2021-22) during one such reunion met the man behind APOGEE (BITS Pilani’s TechFest). What followed was a conversation full of fun stories and fond memories.
In another such reunion, our team met the lead engineer behind the Indian version of Amazon’s Alexa.
You never know who you’ll meet during these reunions so always be on a lookout for such stellar alumni!

Each batch of BITSian alumni celebrates their reunion in a special way, with one of the batches arranging a light and sound show at Rotunda. The light and sound show arranged for the Golden Jubilee Meet of the 1965-70 Batch
We conduct guided campus tours and fun meet-ups like the Alumni Sports Meet, taking them to their old Bhavans where they spent most of their free-time playing in the Bhavan’s QTs with their wingies. We also arrange gala nites in the evening for the alumni to sit back and relax and cheer for their batchies as they perform a dance number or sing their hearts out.
Student Alumni Meets are also conducted during this time to help current students connect better with the extensive alumni network. They are excellent opportunities to network with well-established alumni that have made their mark in the industry. These short hour or two long sessions are full of insights from the alumni that have once been in our shoes and their genuine advice and guidance definitely goes a long way.
